Olivia Mossuto

Olivia Mossuto is an artist, designer, and writer based on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and the Attawanderon, an area subject to the Dish with One Spoon Wampum and Between the Lakes Treaty No. 3 (in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada). Her practice combines painting and installation with a focus on craft, grief, and nature. She completed her undergraduate degree in Studio Art at Western University in London, Ontario in 2019 and her MA in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London, UK in 2020. Olivia has exhibited work in Canada and the United Kingdom. She is studio assistant to artists Jamelie Hassan and Ron Benner. Olivia is also the Coordinating Editor for the artist-run, not-for-profit Embassy Cultural House in London, Ontario, Canada. Throughout 2020–2022 she co-curated the interdisciplinary project Sleepwalking: Embassy Cultural House stands with Hong Kong, which included the in-person exhibition, “To Dissent,” at Support Project Space in London, Ontario. She is one-half of the collaborative project, The Last Cochineal, with UK-based artist Holly English. She recently designed the exhibition catalogue, “An Alternative Cultural History of London, Ontario: Art and Activism,” published by Embassy Cultural House in 2024.
